- - About the Role - -
The Systems Engineer is responsible for the implementation, administration, and day-to-day operation of enterprise cloud services, with a primary focus on FedRAMP/GovRAMP-regulated environments.
This role supports the ongoing operation of secure, compliant, and scalable platforms across AWS and Azure, ensuring systems are properly maintained, monitored, and aligned with federal regulatory and audit requirements. The engineer executes operational tasks, supports compliance activities, and ensures the stability and performance of the PSIGov environment.
The role partners closely with senior engineers, security, DevOps, and compliance teams to support a resilient and compliant federal platform.

- - Federal Platform Operations & Support - -
Support the operation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and services within FedRAMP/GovRAMP boundaries.
Assist in onboarding new federal clients and systems into the platform following established standards and processes.
Execute operational tasks to ensure systems remain stable, secure, and compliant.
- - Compliance & Regulatory Execution - -
Support implementation and maintenance of NIST 800-53 controls within regulated environments.
Execute Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) activities, including evidence collection and remediation tracking.
Ensure operational activities align with FedRAMP/GovRAMP requirements and audit expectations.
- - Operational Excellence (Run Reliability) - -
Perform day-to-day administration of cloud infrastructure, ensuring availability, performance, and security.
Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and support resolution of infrastructure and platform problems.
Identify and escalate risks or issues that may impact system availability or compliance posture.
- - Identity, Security, and Platform Governance - -
Administer Active Directory and identity management systems, including user provisioning, onboarding, and access changes.
Execute IAM processes, ensuring adherence to least privilege and access control requirements.
Support enforcement of security policies, patching, and system hardening activities.
- - Infrastructure & Core Services - -
Support core services including compute, networking, storage, DNS, and domain services.
Assist in maintaining enterprise services such as email integration, certificates, and domain infrastructure.
Follow established procedures for maintaining system reliability and compliance.
- - Systems Workflow Administration - -
Manage and support Ivanti and ServiceNow workflows, including ticket resolution and process execution.
Perform system patching, updates, and routine maintenance across the environment.
Ensure system configuration and operational tasks are completed accurately and consistently
- - Collaboration & Execution - -
Work closely with senior engineers to execute platform improvements and operational changes.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Provide clear updates on work progress and escalate issues as needed.

Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to pass government background investigations.
3 years of experience in systems engineering, systems administration, or cloud operations roles.
Experience supporting production environments with operational and administrative responsibilities.
Experience supporting FedRAMP, GovRAMP, or similarly regulated environments.
Strong background in AWS and Azure management.
- - Technical Expertise - -
Working knowledge of:
Windows and Linux operating systems
Networking fundamentals (IP addressing, subnets, routing)
Core services (DNS, Active Directory, basic GPO management)
Experience with:
Active Directory administration and user management
IT service management tools (ServiceNow, Ivanti, JSM)
Endpoint or systems management tools (Ivanti, Absolute)
Basic scripting or automation (PowerShell or similar)
- - Security & Compliance - -
Experience implementing and operating NIST 800-53 controls in production environments.
Familiarity with FedRAMP Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) processes.
Conduct vulnerability management and remediation workflows.
Implement CIS Hardening Standards and/or DISA STIGs.

Experience leveraging automation and AI-assisted tooling to improve operational efficiency and solution design
Familiarity with DevOps principles and integration with CI/CD platforms (preferred)
